It’s hilarious how the pastor and his wife calmly deconstruct female behavior as though they’re analyzing an alien and potentially hostile species. It’s like Blair’s autopsy in “The Thing,” where he’s just casually prodding the creature with a pencil eraser and somehow knows everything about it.
There is always a way back to Jesus, however, one day, there won’t be any more chances. The more a person sins, the easier it is, the less they want to stop. Even if Jesus forgave such a person, there’s no guarantee such a person would accept it. This is why people stop sinning, because they don’t want to eventually abandon the way of life, that Jesus is offering.
There may always be a way back to Jesus, but that doesn’t preclude social accountability. Men don’t suddenly and mysteriously incur an obligation to marry and/or respect women the moment they invoke a faith system.
