Women do better than men in school. Women have more college degrees than men. Woman are much smarter than men.
And… 45% of women do not know where their vagina is.
A new survey shows that Britons are worryingly uninformed about female genitalia, and that women are almost as unaware as men about what’s going on down below.
Respondents were asked to label the diagram below to the best of their abilities. We accepted misspelled but obviously correct answers, and even euphemistic or descriptive responses when appropriate (e.g. ‘wee hole’ for urethra’ or ‘lips’ for ‘labia’).
Even so, half of Britons could not identify or describe the function of the urethra (58%), labia (47%) or vagina (52%).
Breaking those results down by gender, we find that six in ten men (59%) and half of women (45%) could not even label the vagina. Slightly more didn’t know what the urethra was (61% of men and 55% of women). Around half of both genders failed to label the labia (52% of men and 43% of women).
Womynz can’t find their vagina but they can sure as hell find the abortion clinic.
Respondents were asked which, if any, of the following statements best described what happened to the body during a period: toxins are flushed out of the body sperm in the uterus is removed, old blood is replenished with new blood, or – the correct response – the lining of the uterus is shed.
One in three men (35%) and one in seven women (14%) failed to identify that ‘the lining of the uterus is shed’ was the correct response.
One in fifty of both men and women chose ‘toxins are flushed out of the body’ as the correct answer. One in six men (13%) and one in fifteen women (7%) thought ‘old blood in the uterus is removed and replenished with new blood’ was the right option. 14% of men and 3% of women said they ‘don’t know’.
Fourteen percent of women do not know why they bleed from between their legs every month. Women know nothing about their own biology yet these same womynz know enough about virology to insist that “wearing a mask works” and thus you need to muzzle up.
